Notifications

Email digests are scheduled summaries that keep you informed about PR activity and team updates without needing to live in the console.

Digests always include both Needs Attention and Team Updates. If there is nothing to include for a scheduled window, GitVertex does not send a digest email.

Digest types

Daily digest

A summary of the previous local day, delivered at your chosen hour. It includes:

  • Needs Attention items, such as PRs waiting on you.
  • Team Updates such as merged PRs, releases, and other notable activity.

Weekly digest

A rolling 7-day summary delivered on your chosen day and hour. It uses the same sections as the daily digest, but over a longer window.

You can enable one or both digest types.

Configuring digests

Enable or disable digests

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications.
  2. Toggle Daily digest and Weekly digest on or off.

Set delivery time

Choose the hour of the day when you want to receive your digest. For weekly digests, also choose the day of the week.

Digest timing uses the time zone in your profile. If you set your daily digest to 8:00 AM, GitVertex delivers it at 8:00 AM in that local time zone.

Configure your timezone

Set your time zone in Settings → Profile so digests arrive at the correct local time. GitVertex supports standard IANA time zones.

Digest sections

  • Needs Attention — PRs awaiting your review or otherwise needing your follow-up.
  • Team Updates — merged PRs, releases, and other notable workspace activity.

Digest delivery

Digests are delivered to the email address associated with your GitVertex account.

Bounce and complaint handling

If digest emails bounce or are marked as spam, GitVertex automatically suppresses future deliveries to that address. If you need delivery restored after fixing the underlying email issue, contact support.

Availability

Email digests are available in both personal and team workspaces.
