Introduction

GitVertex gives software teams one workspace to track PRs, repository activity, review queues, and delivery trends across GitHub and GitLab. Instead of jumping between code hosts, Slack, inboxes, and spreadsheets, you get one shared view of what is moving, what is blocked, and what needs attention next.

Who GitVertex is for

GitVertex is designed for engineering managers, tech leads, and developers who need better visibility into code review and delivery work across multiple repositories.

Common use cases include:

  • Engineering managers who want a clear view of review flow, stale work, and delivery patterns.
  • Tech leads who need to know which pull requests are blocked, waiting for review, or ready to merge.
  • Individual developers who want one place to see every PR that needs their attention.
  • Teams spread across several repos that need shared context without constant manual status updates.

What GitVertex does

Console

See every open PR across your connected repositories in one view. GitVertex groups work into sections like "Needs your review," "Awaiting review," and "Approved" so you can decide what to act on first.

Pulse

Pulse shows pushes, PR events, issues, and releases in one chronological feed. You can filter by repository, author, activity type, and time range when you need to narrow the view.

Insights

Insights tracks merged PR volume, commit activity, merge time, open PR age, lines modified, and language mix so you can spot bottlenecks and trends over time.

Workspaces and permissions

GitVertex supports free personal workspaces for one person and team workspaces for shared use. Team workspaces include invites, roles, shared settings, and Slack notifications.

Automations

GitVertex includes workspace automations for pinging Slack when PRs become ready to merge, cleaning up closed branches, and nudging reviewers when requested reviews sit too long.

Integrations and notifications

Connect GitHub or GitLab to sync repository data, then add Slack and email digests so your team can stay current without living in the console all day.

How it works

  1. Sign in with one of the available code-host providers.
  2. Choose a source: a personal account or namespace for a personal workspace, or an organization or group for a team workspace.
  3. Select repositories to sync into the workspace.
  4. Invite your team and assign roles if it is a team workspace.
  5. Start using the console to track review activity and delivery work.
